  • the acquisition of basic scientific knowledge on the broad area of Linguistics and developing the students’ability to use such knowledge in theoretical and empirical research in order to study language as a human faculty, a system and a means of communication in the German-speaking and Greek-speaking world, and in broader multicultural contexts.
  • the provision of scientific training to students and their practical preparation to teach German as a foreign language in a variety of educational and intercultural settings, using conventional education media and through the use of digital technology; there is also a focus on the application of particular methods for researching and analyzing the language needs that arise in specific work environments.
