There are many film clubs at Auth,

but there is no one like KinoKlub!

The film club "KinoKlub" of the School of German Language and Literature was founded in 2007 and is active up to now with screenings of German-language films that are subtitled into Greek by students from the School in the subtitling courses of the Associate Professor Anthi Wiedenmayer. The screenings take place for free in the Goethe Institute of Thessaloniki, which also assigns the film rights.

The first film with Greek subtitles of "KinoKlub" is already in official distribution. It is the documentary "The Woman with Five Elephants" (2009), directed by Vadim Jendreyko and it is about the life and work of the award-winning translator of Dostoyevsky into German, Swetlana Geier (www.5elefanten.ch)
